Film: Down to Earth (Blog in Nederlands & English)

DOWN TO EARTH.

I saw a beautiful film. My mother celebrated here 80th birthday and she invited all here friends too a cinema where she showed us this movie. DOWN TO EARTH. The film won a lot of prizes already and shows a story about a family traveling all over the world in search of the keepers of the earth. It is filled with a lot of wisdom that we stimulate and work with in Biodanza too. A must see. Very nice to show your weekly group and than create vivencia's inspired by themes of the film.

HERE is a trailer

Love and earthly wisdom for us all! Sas

Laten we heel langzaam gaan.

Ik ben stil, I am silent

Geluidloze kus!

I am silently waiting..... a new writing whispers in my heart. Sometimes it arrives quickly, sometimes there is thorough waiting required. This is why I don't write a lot on my blogs. I wander, I daydream, I draw and write... when I find the beginning of a red thread I can start to write and draw.... Until then ssh.

Soundless kiss!

Soms vraag in me af - sometimes I wonder...

The question is

Sometimes I wonder why I became a Biodanza teacher. As a child of a broken family, I took on me the role of the comforter, cherisher, supporter. I tried to heal the affective wounds that the ones of my family had (and almost everybody has some). And now, I made my profession out of this. Biodanza is an affective re-education. Sometimes I wonder if that is such a good idea for me?

Did I became a good Biodanza teacher because of my history, or am I perfecting with this profession an old survival habit? I really honestly don't know. I am going to think and feel about this for a while. And hopefully find my deepest truth.

We have come to be danced (poem by Jewel Mathieson)

Miranda van Keulen en Els Boom (Biodanzaschool Amsterdam) tipten me overeen gedicht "we have come to be danced".

Miramda van Keilen and Els Boon (Biodanzaschool of Amsterdam) told me about een poem "we have come to be danced" Here are two links to that wild poem about dancing. One presented with more lightnes, air and sensuality. Another (by the author herself) with a lot of fire and rawness.

I am still feeling how it touches me. I do not know yet. But maybe that is exactly right, not knowing how you are affected by something... and letting it dance around inside anyway.

We Have Come to Be Danced
 by Jewel Mathieson

We have come to be danced
not the pretty dance
not the pretty pretty, pick me, pick me dance
but the claw our way back into the belly
of the sacred, sensual animal dance
the unhinged, unplugged, cat is out of its box dance
the holding the precious moment in the palms
of our hands and feet dance

We have come to be danced
not the jiffy booby, shake your booty for him dance
but the wring the sadness from our skin dance
the blow the chip off our shoulder dance
the slap the apology from our posture dance

We have come to be danced
not the monkey see, monkey do dance
one, two dance like you
one two three, dance like me dance
but the grave robber, tomb stalker
tearing scabs & scars open dance
the rub the rhythm raw against our souls dance

WE have come to be danced
not the nice invisible, self conscious shuffle
but the matted hair flying, voodoo mama
shaman shakin’ ancient bones dance
the strip us from our casings, return our wings
sharpen our claws & tongues dance
the shed dead cells and slip into
the luminous skin of love dance

We have come to be danced
not the hold our breath and wallow in the shallow end of the floor dance
but the meeting of the trinity: the body, breath & beat dance
the shout hallelujah from the top of our thighs dance
the mother may I?
yes you may take 10 giant leaps dance
the Olly Olly Oxen Free Free Free dance
the everyone can come to our heaven dance

We have come to be danced
where the kingdom’s collide
in the cathedral of flesh
to burn back into the light
to unravel, to play, to fly, to pray
to root in skin sanctuary
We have come to be danced

WE HAVE COME

Personal interest versus collective interest

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche

Home after the Biodanza congress, The films and pictures of the congress pop up here and there on facebook.

I do understand that we all are enchanted by the beauty of the whole experience. But I don't understand why we share such sacred moments as the collective dance of the seed (Vivencia Helen) on internet.

We made an appointment with each other not to film during vivencia's, and... not to share it here and there, but keep it for ourselves.

I learned from (among others) Antonio Sarpe: don't do what is only good for you personal, but do what is good for the Biodanza Movement as a whole.

What we all want is, to let this beautiful movement grow and flourish. I would love to have Biodanza grow in institutions, companies, hospitals, schools...

All the post's on facebook do not help, really they don't.

A Vivenvia is a Vivencia. A totally lived moment, not only mentally but physiologically, cenesthetically, visceral, emotional, spiritual. All that is lost, when you look at a picture or a YouTube film.

We need to experience Vivencia and then integrate these experiences. You can do that in a lot of ways:

Dance every week
Do the Biodanza school
Write poetry
Paint your Vivencia
Sing about it
Dance some more
Live your life integrated and Biocentric
Tell about it
Start your own groups and be inspired to inspire
Go to the next congress too!
There's more, there's more we can do...

Please let's beautify the image of Biodanza. It is not just some lovely dancing. It is a very affective delicate Grail that needs protection, nourishment and containment.

Let's grow exponentional! Are you with me?

We can only accomplish that, when we navigate on our collective interest, and are willing to let go of some personal interest's.

Reaction from: Marieke Annink-Bouma 12 juli 12:55

I totally agree with you. Although I also understand the personal wish of everybody who would want to relive a vivencia... But you are so right. Biodanza can only be shared from an integral point of view. When you tell about the biocentric principle and the idea of love and affection, people understand the meaning. But when I talk about the level of intimacy and transcendence shared, many listeners get caught in their ideas of "happily blowing and tripping hippi people". And that is not the key message of biodanza. (At least that is my humble opinion.)
